About me
Gigi has been welcoming guests to Orchard Side Bed and Breakfast since establishing her home in the charming 1929 house in 1988. Over the decades, she and her late husband Neil lovingly transformed and extended the property into the beautiful retreat you see today, creating a warm haven where interesting travellers from around the world feel genuinely at home.
Following the heartbreaking loss of her beloved Neil in July 2019, Gigi has continued to honour their shared passion for hospitality with the unwavering support of family and friends. Today, she pours her heart into maintaining the exceptional standards and welcoming atmosphere that she and Neil built together, ensuring every guest experiences the warmth, comfort, and personal attention that makes Orchard Side truly special.
Gigi’s genuine love for connecting with people, combined with her meticulous attention to detail, creates an experience that goes beyond typical bed and breakfast stays – it’s about creating lasting memories in a place that feels like a home away from home.
While Gigi maintains a fulfilling and active lifestyle, running the B&B and maintaining the gorgeous garden single-handedly, she also treasures her regular walks on the stunning Malvern Hills. Having visited many parts of the world during her travels with Neil, she now finds deep contentment in being rooted at home, sharing her slice of heaven with guests who seek to discover the natural beauty and charm of this corner of the UK. Gigi’s extensive experience gives her a unique appreciation of what makes a destination special, and she helps guests uncover the hidden gems, scenic walks and local treasures that make the Malverns and surrounding countryside so special. Her genuine enthusiasm for the area ensures guests leave with unforgettable memories, and many return year after year.
