Can highly recommend The Annex self-catering accommodation, Gigi and Neil are wonderful hosts- great communication when booking and very friendly and kind ( thanks for the duck food for our daughter!) and the Annexe has everything you need and more being fully furnished and equipped. Our dog was also made very welcome. Lovely and clean, spacious, quiet and lovely views of the garden. It thus made for a relaxing and comfortable stay – no worries or hassles- perfect! Loved seeing the ducks and hearing the cuckoo! Delightful village right on your doorstep. We were sad to go – and will come back for sure!
We were looking for a relaxing weekend with some walking in the hills and that’s exactly what we got. The warm welcome from Gigi, Neil and Charlie was great. The accommodation was of a very high standard and we were made to feel at home from the first minute. We decided to BBQ on the second night and Neil actually offered his own BBQ (found out later he had cleaned it specially!). Gigi also loaned her walking shoes to me for the weekend, how good is that. Charlie the dog has a personality of his own and only added to the fun of the weekend. All in all a perfect weekend, so good we are returning in June.
Words can’t express how grateful I am for Gigi and Neil’s hospitality. I do not drive and Gigi happily picked me up and dropped me off at the Great Malvern train station. The Annex is very clean, spacious, loads of storage, warm, surroundings are beautiful and nice solitude. They took me to the Malvern hills, they were great tour guides and told me about the history. I am already planning my next visit. It’s worth every penny and more. They went beyond my expectations. I am in awe. Thank you again 🙂
The whole experience was amazing from start to end, with a warm and relaxing arrival greeting. Gigi and Neil were the perfect hosts, nothing ever seemed to much trouble. Great location and wonderful accommodation. Ideal location for exploring the great outdoors.
Perfect Home From Home
We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Annexe self-catering accommodation and we cannot wait to return. We were made so welcome by Gigi and Neil and were treated more like friends than visitors, nothing is too much trouble for them. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped with an extremely comfortable bed! In fact, a real home from home. The property overlooks a lovely garden which is so peaceful and which is a nice place to sit after a walk in the beautiful hills. If you want a relaxing holiday with lots of places to visit close by, then this is the ideal place to stay.
An absolute Gem
We have never stayed in this area before so didn’t know what to expect but the owners of the Annex could not have been more helpful or accommodating. We arrived very late at night after trying to beat the weather but Gigi and Neil waited up for us to make sure we arrived safe and well. The property was light and airy and was ideal for two people (and our dogs!). Gigi and Neil are lovely hosts and could not do enough for us! The dogs had free run of the garden and with the property having electric gates we didn’t need to worry about them getting onto the road which was a real peace of mind. Our little terrier had a great time chasing their 7-month-old schnauzer round the garden! The property was perfectly situated for exploring the Malvern Hills, the Forest of Dean and the Cotswolds. There was also good facilities in the village including a decent pub, butchers and village store. We would definitely stay there again!
